Experience Resurrection 2017

Monday, April 24, 2017

This year, around 750 children from Avalon, St Bridgets and Bidston Avenue schools heard stories about what happened after Jesus' resurrection. The bible-based stories were those of Doubting Thomas, Jesus' Ascension, Pentecost, Cornelius and Peter, Saul's Conversion and an outline of Paul's Missionary Journeys. Various props and graphics were employed to help engage the children’s attention. Among these were a helium filled balloon, a speaker with disco lights, a pin the tail on the donkey game, a hole-in-the-hand optical illusion and the compulsory Playmobile characters for Peter and Cornelius.

Over 30 volunteers from St Bridgets and Caldy, Laird Street Baptist and St James brought the narrative to life enjoying the interaction and participation of the children. Thanks to all involved, whether telling stories, making tea, preparing graphics, handing out items or just being there to encourage and lend a hand.
