Children, Young People and Families

Children and Families

Families are welcome at our informal Storytelling Group which meets on Sunday mornings during term time (except for those Sundays when we have ‘All Together Worship’ in Church). The Storytellers meet in the church at 10:00am and then move into the Church Centre for worship, an interactive bible story, music making and craft.

Young people also ring bells, read lessons, sing in the Sing Aloud choir, play instruments, and contribute to our life and worship in many ways.

Contact the Parish Office 625 2739 if you have any questions, or wish to find out more.

Toasty Tuesday

Toasty Tuesday takes place every Tuesday afternoon in term time from 3:30pm to 4:40pm. Children, mainly from St Bridget’s Primary School, together with their parents, grandparents or carers, visit the church straight after school to eat toast, drink juice and play a variety of games which are set up inside the church. Members of the ministry team are available to chat.

Since starting last year Toasty Tuesday has grown in numbers with over 125 visitors every week. With a fantastic team of volunteers Toasty Tuesday has become very popular with the children and their grown ups and enables them all to feel at home within a church building as well as providing opportunities for conversation!

Supper Sunday

Supper Sunday takes place once per term in the Church Centre on a Sunday afternoon.

It’s for families and children (from 0-11 years old) and is an opportunity for them to meet, play, eat supper and have a gentle introduction to exploring faith through bible stories and conversation.
